Jakob and Alena had one child named August Martin Herboldt. He was born on August 1, 1917 in Lapwai, Idaho He and his wife died on May 7, 1994 as the result of a car accident in Oneida, NY. His wife Nellie Wlodkowski, the daughter of Joseph Wlodkowski and Josephine Milewski, was born on March 22, 1921 in Bridgeport, CT.
